Custom Computer Specialists, Inc. (“Custom”), a leading IT services provider, announced today that they are launching a new program to educate local businesses on storm preparation. This program will premier in June is anticipation of National Preparedness Month coming up in September.
For over 35 years Custom has been dedicated to providing quality IT service and solutions to their customers including offering storm preparedness assessments and ensuring their facilities are capable of handling a major storm. “Storm preparedness is an extension of our regular services and solutions we offer,” said Gregory Galdi, President and CEO of Custom. “During Hurricane Sandy our systems were never down due in large part to our Generac generator. We were even able to open our doors to our clients, allowing for them to set up workstations in our facility.”
According to FEMA 40 percent of businesses hit by natural disasters never reopen, and a survey by The Hartford further revealed that 71 percent of small businesses were affected by Hurricane Sandy and 74 percent of those never reopened. Custom’s aim is to ensure that the next time a major storm hits their clients are able to remain doing business as usual.
Custom will be discussing both disaster recovery and business continuity during the month of June. Their experts on storm preparedness will be on hand and are dedicated to educating their clients on disaster recovery and business continuity solutions so they don’t become another statistic.
