HAUPPAUGE, NY (May 17, 2013) — Custom Computer Specialists Inc. (“Custom”), a leading IT services provider, today announced that it has donated state of the art technology to the new patient and resident computer lab to Parker Jewish Institute for Health and Rehabilitation (“Parker”). Featuring the latest computing solutions from Dell™ this lab connects Parker’s short-term patients and residents with the outside world, allowing them to stay in touch with their families both near and far.
The technology, officially unveiled at a ribbon cutting ceremony held at Parker on May 16th, was chosen with the disparate abilities of the residents in mind. Featuring video conferencing ability, touch screen technology and super-sized keyboards, the lab is welcoming to all residents.
“In the past, the computer lab was used by only the most computer savvy of residents,” says Michael Rosenblut, Parker’s President and CEO. “Since the introduction of these new technologies it’s almost impossible to find a time where there’s an available seat.”
Gregory Galdi, Founder and President of Custom was honored in 2012 by Parker for his charity and values that reflect Parker’s mission. “Custom’s relationship with Parker transcends a traditional business relationship. We consider Parker family and we are honored to provide the residents with the technologies that keep them connected to the world and their families.”
The New Patient and Resident Computer Lab is located at Parker’s New Hyde Park Facility.
